So, I thought I would put together a simple guide to help identify the 1982 Lincoln cent. Before 1982, the Lincoln Cent was made on a 95% copper planchet. Due to the cost of materials, a planchet change was needed in the 1980s.

Most modern markets are kindda hard to figure. Most modern coins are vastly underappreciated and few people realize how few exist.

2020年4月2日 · The 1982 Philly small date copper/ small date zinc has value, ONLY in the highest grades (mint state). And that is true for most non rare coins. The 1982-D small date copper (only 2 exist) is the super rare one and it is unlikely that anyone is going to find another one in their pocket change.

2019年1月12日 · It's usually a good idea to post, both, obverse and reverse photos of coins like this because it's possible that they could also be an off-center strike. If the reverse is off-set by the same distance in the same position, then it is an off-center strike. If the reverse is normal, then it is a misaligned die strike.

2011年12月3日 · The US mint did not produce mint sets in 1982 and 1983. One of the stupidest things I ever didn't do is put away BU coins for those years. I knew they would be short because of this, but just never got around to getting the BU coins from the bank.

2020年11月26日 · I have a 1973-D Quarter, looks copper. Also has a lot of this blistering on it. I thought it was the result of someone trying the make it look like copper clad through electro plating.
