2009年9月7日 · On this quarter, under 10x magnification, there is doubling on the O, D, W, R, S, and T in "God we Trust", and appears to have something that looks like doubling around the lips and chin. To be honest, im not sure how to tell the difference between highly collectable Doubling, and common mechanical doubling, so some direction would be appreciated!

2011年11月19日 · if you look close the damge to the coin was made at the mint . i have added some more pictures of this penny , note the AM touch like the 1992 D , note the ib of liberty is unreadable and the dates is as well . the coin is just as it was when i found it . it has not been cleaned . i have never seen a coin like this before . i hope some one can tell me more about it …

2021年3月16日 · The lip even cuts off some parts of the text on the coin, and that lip is almost twice the width of an average quarter. The whole quarter is also slightly smaller than a normal one. For clarification, this coin was minted in 1993, in Philadelphia.

2019年3月9日 · Zinc blanks falling into the plating bath was a known processing problem when the mint first started purchasing copper plated zinc planchets in 1982 and 1983, so it's possible that there are coins with a higher percentage of zinc in the plating.

2009年5月23日 · My daughter found a quarter that is stamped heads on both sides. the first side is dated 1973 with no mint stamp the second side is dated 1983 and was stamped in Philadelphia. 2017年2月3日 · I certainly see what you're looking at. If that's just a P or a D, of course it's a normal 25C. This might have been saved because it was speculated to be a P on top of a D, or the other way around. I never heard of such a thing on these.

2010年2月13日 · I saw this on my 93 D Lincoln and am not sure what it is. The easiest way to figuratively explain it is that someone painted the penny and moved the mint mark to the left just a hair making the "D" look as if it was MM. I thought well maybe someone was messing around and tampered or tried to remove the mark but I see no evidence of it.
