Big army has decided you're doing a tanker's job for the sole purpose of making manning easier for the squadron CSM (SBCTs used to have 24 slots for tankers in the entire brigade and getting extra personnel for these things was a bitch and a half so now scouts do it since they can just swap us between troops).

2023年4月23日 · Hell, somewhere out there, there's (probably) an 11A as a tank commander and a 19A sitting in a bush. Hell to muddy the waters even more. I've known 11Bs licensed on a tank and 19Ks on strykers. Full disclosure: my time in the Army has been odd.

2023年6月30日 · Be advised if you truly want to be on tanks that isn’t a guarantee as a 19A, at any point you could be pulled away to Bradley or even infantry roles which are plentiful in MN. As well you will move units/positions every few years as a officer whereas you could in theory spend an entire career within the same unit as a 19K.

2022年7月28日 · Armor doesn’t need airborne. If you somehow got the school after doing armor then you would be a 5 jump chump, no way around it. Also, you may get in to college and dread the thought of army. Do research, don’t blindly walk into recruiters office and have the wool pulled over your eyes.

2022年8月8日 · Armor can be competitive, it depends on the slots and the desires of the class. Some classes are competitive for combat arms, sometimes they have a half dozen people force branched into combat arms.

The Army is in it's corporate crunch phase, that's why everything is a priority, literally everything. So you need to have the intestinal fortitude to make certain things a priority and ignore other things.
