I have a 2011 Mazda CX-5 with the NA 2.5L engine. Since the PCV valves on most cars are inexpensive and easy to replace, I was going to do it on my car; until I watch a video showing just how not simple the job is. I've decided that I'll forgo that service until there's an actual indication that it needs to be done.

2021年3月31日 · Curious what people’s opinions are of Mazda? Specifically the CX-5 2.5l, cx-50 2.5l, and Mazda 3 2.5l? They seem to depreciate a lot more than the Honda and Toyota which makes it nice for a certified pre owned purchase, but curious how they compare in terms of quality reliability. Same tier, or completely different group?

2009年6月25日 · The 2.8 in the trucks was a different engine than the 2.8 that was in passenger cars. I don't know the exact details, but basically the truck engine was 'stronger' than the PC one. Also, I don't doubt that 20 years ago, QS would sludge up in short-trip/6-month OCI usage - however, it wouldn't do that today...

2012年3月3日 · I was seriously considering a new Accord with the 1.5 turbo but ended up going with a new 2023 Camry instead because of the issues Honda has with the 1.5. Fuel dilution is a concern, though a minor one IMO as long as you are changing the oil early and often enough. My main concern was with the head gasket issues the 1.5T's are experiencing.

2005年12月26日 · The L and LX is lower saps, the 0W-40 and 5W-40 are 'full' SAPS. I would prefer more SAPS, but be a bit wary of the higher weight, though would probably try it. Not sure about the Honda DI, but e.g. Mobil 1 0W-40, Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5W-40 have MB-Approval 229.5, and so can be used in at least one MB DI engine I know of.
