It is very tall, has miles of suspension and runs on chunky nobblies. The very name "Dakar" conjures up images of huge central European motocrossers storming across miles of unforgiving desert tracks. You might be forgiven for thinking it would therefore be a pretty compromised road bike. You'd be wrong. Very wrong.

2002年9月2日 · For some reason my 02 F650GSA runs stronger than an 01 version of the same bike I had. But if you can find a good 01 and test ride it, I'd say go for it. Some claim that the 01's had some surge & stall issues, but I never had any problems. Just ask if it has the latest software.

2009年2月21日 · I have owned a 2002 F650GS for 5 years now. It has been very relaible and gets great fuel mileage. If you maintain it well it will not let you down. If you are going to use the bike for rough off road riding, I might suggest a smaller lighter bike. The F650GS is designed for 75% street and 25% off road. It will do fine on dirt roads and trails.
