2017年1月5日 · I've had this 2011 chambered in 9mm for about a year. I've tried 147g jacketed, plated and cast bullets. All gave me poor accuracy at 25 yards regardless of the powder I used or the recipe/velocity. My experience with the 2011 in .40 S&W with heavier bullets loaded long at minor & major PF worked great. I figured that would work in 9mm too.

2023年10月30日 · I have never had a 5 " 2011 and the Atlas Athena comes as a 4.6" gun, and I cannot see any gained benefit other than weight going with a 5" 2011. I like the weight of the Athena and think it is well balanced while not being heavy. 9mm so reoil is not really a thing with that gun with proper grip.

2024年11月7日 · I ran a Colt 10mm 1911 with a .40sw barrel and a 9mm barrel for years, ran great if I swapped the extractor and mags. You WILL need new 9mm 2011 mags especially though as the 9mm rounds will pop out the top of .40 mags, even with the feed lips squeezed.

For me its more the frame size and fitting me than the slide length. the 4.15 was a bit too short for comfort in carrying as for me I find with my body size and shape it uncomfortable to conceal smaller guns. the 5" slide is fine, but in 9mm I feel it cycles a bit …
