2011年12月24日 · Hi - I have a 2013 Kia Soul with the exact same problem noticed it with 365 miles on car. Dealer initialy replaced a fowler but car is making same noise. Dealer is saying this upper end ticking on cold starts is normal as soon as the car gets a few hundred miles on them.

Google hasn't helped, but I did see one page (I cannot find now but was in my notes here) that for the 2.0 liter Soul the "beta" engine has a belt while the "nu" engine has a chain.

2024年8月24日 · Most ever I did was replacing battery/tires So, my 2012 soul, auto, 114K miles, has started having intermittent starting problems for the past 5 months or so. Mechanic tried changing the alternator and battery in October, 2023 but it didn't seem to solve the problem.
