Composite IBC types are designated: (1) 11HZ1 Composite IBCs with a rigid plastic inner receptacle for solids loaded or discharged by gravity. (2) 11HZ2 Composite IBCs with a flexible plastic inner receptacle for solids loaded or discharged by gravity.

Additional Requirement: Composite IBCs 11HZ2 and 21HZ2 may not be used when the hazardous materials being transported may become liquid during transport.

IBC The code shall consist of two Arabic numerals as specified in (a) followed by one specified in (b); followed, when specified in an individual section, by an Arabic numeral indicating the category of IBC.
