2019年1月18日 · I am working on a tenant improvement project with a 240/120V, 3 Phase system. I assumed this was a high-leg delta system. Existing panels in the building had markers on them that say "HI LEG PHASE B". There is a main disconnect in the electrical room through which power enters. The disconnect is labeled 400 amps.

2019年10月4日 · Knowing the 120/240 3 phase (delta) is wrong for the cofee shop when they may have intended 120/208 Y,.All the equipment coming in is 120/208 Y, I would guess it is either a misprint on the drawing and 120/208 Y is intended or present.

The second number (red) is the voltage from hot - to - hot on the different phases. Some loads use all three phases, and no neutral. Some use a hot and a neutral, it depends on the load.

2014年2月20日 · Thanks for all the feedback, lots of intresting suggestions and ideas. I checked with the POCO and both 120/208v and 120/240 three phase power is availabe. One of the reasons I was leaning toward 120/240v three phase was of the existing 240 single phase panel. If I go this route I would just have to subfeed old panel from new panel.

2022年7月11日 · That combo is somewhat common on portable generators- often you can get three-phase at 208/120 or 240/139, or single phase at 120/240. Really only useful if you need 240 delta for temporary power. S

2013年4月24日 · 3-phase 240 volt is a high leg delta system where phase to phase is 240 volts, 2 phases to ground are 120 volts, and 1 phase (high leg) is 208 volts to ground. Pretty common in older services, not much used anymore in new services.

2008年8月8日 · P.S. I made the mistake of assuming that you have 240/120V three phase service, not 120/240V single phase service. If you have single phase service, then you need more than a transformer to get 480V three phase.

2009年7月25日 · Older neighborhoods here in Phoenix use 120/240 Delta 3 phase systems. Two phases are 120V to ground. One phase is about 200 volts to ground. All phases are 240 between them. Newer installations (post mid 60's) are the more common 120/208 Wye systems. All phases are 120V to ground and 208V between them.

2020年5月22日 · Sounds like I need the 2 buck boost transformers then. Don't need a neutral just 3 phase 240. Feeding a fused disconnect. Then feeding a ball mill that has a control cabinet. Cabinet has a vfd and it has a contactor with single phase 240v coil. Feeds a 3 phase 240v motor that says it draws 11 amps and a cooling fan that draws 1 amp.
