2024年4月30日 · Also known as N-bomb, Solaris, Wizard, and Smiles, 25i is one of the derivatives of N-methoxybenzyl-methoxyphenylethylamine (NBOMe). This is a class of intoxicating and often deadly substances that made their way into the U.S.’s illicit drug market in 2010, although the drug 25i itself was first noticed by officials in 2011 around Virginia.

25I-NBOMe, 25C-NBOMe, and 25B-NBOMe—like 2C-I, 2C-C, and 2C-B—selectively bind and show activity at the 5-HT2A receptor in the central nervous system. The addition of the NBOMe group has been shown to substantially enhance the potency of these compounds.

The most frequently reported drugs from this group are 25I-NBOMe, 25B-NBOMe, and 25C-NBOMe. NBOMe compounds are ultrapotent and highly efficacious agonists of serotonin 5-HT 2A and 5-HT 2C receptors (Ki values in low nanomolar range) with more than 1000-fold selectivity for 5-HT 2A compared with 5-HT 1A.
