The 25th OSS held a sprint squadron reorganization event to brainstorm innovative ways to more efficiently execute their operations.

The 25th OSS, on the other hand, is not responsible for a runway, but rather directly supports units across three geographically separated locations that all fly operations downrange on behalf of combatant commanders.

The United States Air Force's 25th Air Support Operations Squadron is an Air Force Special Warfare unit located at Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii. The squadron provides tactical command and control of air and space assets to the Joint Forces Air Component Commander and Joint Forces Land Component Commander for combat operations.

Redesignated as 25 Airdrome Squadron, Special, on 16 Apr 1943. Inactivated on 21 Oct 1943. Disbanded on 1 Apr 1944. Reconstituted on 11 Sep 1946.

The 25th Operations Support Squadron hosted its first Initial Intelligence Qualification Course, here, October 21, 2024. Prior to relocating, the IIQC was conducted by the 432nd OSS at Creech Air Force Base, Nev. “This IIQC is the gateway to MQ-9 intelligence,” said Lt. Col. Van Osterom, 25th OSS commander.

When Lt. Col. Kaly took command of the 25th Operations Support Squadron, she realized the traditional structure of an Operations Support Squadron did not fit the mold of the 25th Attack Group mission that requires access to 24/7 operations support.
