Advantages of the .270 are that you'll more easily find components and can source some factory if required. I currently have .270win, but I'm toying with the idea of a 7x64 at some point, out of curiosity more than anything else. As for the 277 ABLR.

As the scarcity of decent factory ammo will almost certainly be the case with the 7x64, I am really considering a .270 instead. The .270 is down 2.5% on V and 4.5% on E @ Muzzle. The .270 is down 3.3% on V and 6.5% on E @ 300m. Zeroed at 200m, the .270 drops 0.7cm more @250m and 1.7cm more @ 300m.

2020年6月6日 · As has been said there is a much bigger choice of bullet weights in 7mm compared to my beloved .270. However IMO the heavier bullets (160gr and above) are not the best choice for Fallow deer and smaller, as they are designed for heavier game and don't expand adequately. With 130 or 140 gr 7mm bullets you have a super.270!
