2022年8月30日 · It says to measure the resistance between the two wires going into the vvt motor (target: 0-5ohm) and then to measure the resistance from each of the 2 wires to a chassis ground (target: inf resistance/open loop).

2019年4月4日 · Hi, I have been having the same issue with VVT error 2A70 and lambda sensor heater errors 2CA2, 2CA3 for over 12 months. Errors happen every 200 miles or so. I've had the issues ever since I changed the VVT motor as it had failed completely.

2020年1月15日 · In your picture 2A70 says “error would not cause a warning lamp to light up” which means you can probably ignore it for now. The other error code is related to the MAP sensor. You’ll need to diagnose the erroneous readings from that sensor. I would not recommend just replacing it until you verify the cause of the error.

2013年12月13日 · 2A70 - Valvetronic, plausibility: sporadic current fluctuations. They also confirmed oil leak and reported the following: Vanos solanoid seals leaking. Rocker shaft seal leaking. Engine vacuum pump and sump gasket leaking. PAS (coil pipe) leaking fluid. Brake discs and pads worn (not too worried about this as it is normal) Help.

The Valvetronic motor is used on BMW E90 models with a normally-aspirated engine. It is responsible for actuating an eccentric shaft that adjusts intake valve lift. The motor itself is pretty reliable and does not fail too often.

2021年4月22日 · I have a BMW trouble code: 2A70 - fluctuating current to VVT motor plausibility issue. I have changed the VVT motor, the eccentric shaft sensor, the camshaft sensors (although not from a reputable brand). I also changed out the ignition coils and spark plugs. I’ve changed the seals on the two solenoid.

Unplug the valvetronic sensor and check for oil. If there is oil inside the connector you will definitely need to replace the sensor. I would do the sensor first before the motor.
