By replacing the old school iron block 3SGTE and all of the associated turbo goodies in favor of an aluminum block naturally aspirated v6 a not insignificant estimated 100 pounds is lost.

2009年5月13日 · the 2GR offers reliable power to get your MR2 in the mid 4 second 0-60 times. anything beyond that is new territory. feel free to use it for that, but you won't be able to get much advice. the only thing we know is that the block and crank are good for the power. anything else may or may not fail before that point.

2010年6月9日 · The V6 has proven very reliable, performs incredibly, and brings with it the bulletproof E153 transmission. Win-win-win. Future plans: we've already considered supercharging and turbocharging for an absurdly fast track car. We're also months in to developing an all-out NA V6 with more displacement and modified heads and valvetrain.

2015年8月17日 · Seems Toyota has reduced the cost of the D-4S system to bring it into mainstream use. The RX350 2GR will likely continue with the ES350 and Avalon. Toyota may keep 3 engine options: base 2AR, optional 8AR-FTS (235hp/258lb-ft), and this new 300+hp 2GR for the Camry. That's a huge power jump from the 8AR to the 2GR though.
