Wondering if yall can point me in the right direction. Details: Cranks but wont start (just one fall morning last week, no CEL, no other warning signs. Yes, the tank has fuel)

2005年9月15日 · FYI, I went in and asked for a price on a 2rz / 3rz head, and they want $1000 JUST for the casting! (no cams, no valvetrain, no cam journals... just the raw head casting) a cheaper alternative... www.car-part.com

2008年2月22日 · You might be able to pull off sneaking them out through the bottom but it'd be a helluva lot easier to just rip it out and put the pistons in. Really what I'd suggest is picking up a used 2rz and then building it for boost. That way you can drive your stock, bulletproof toyota motor until you're ready for boost then just drop in the new setup.

I drop in in low, tach it out, throw it to 2, then drive then hit the OD button and I can wax Hondas. My record right now, 1994 accord 4 cyl, 2005 Civic Special Edition (not si), a scion xa with headers, exhaust, and cold air, and a scion TC.

I have a 96 Tacoma 2wd with the 2rz that I have been trying to get to run correctly. The truck has no bottom end power and just never really wakes up even if you flog it. I bought a scan gauge so I could watch some of the parameters while I was driving hoping to see something. What I saw was the ignition advance seems to be working in reverse.

2004年7月9日 · its a pretty direct swap. just make sure that whatever 3rz you buy is the same year as the 2rz you have, and you'll need a 3rz ecu. if you keep the years of the engines the same, you wont have to worry about wiring. I'm planning on doing the same swap soon, still looking for a good deal on a 3rz though.

2016年1月18日 · Even if 2RZ's were finally assembled here in the States, they could well have been assembled using items supplied from Japan. My point is that if you didn't really mean 'a 2RZ originally supplied for a Japanese / Asian vehicle', it may not make much, if any, difference whether you get your 'new' engine from a Japanese engine importer or a US ...

2012年7月9日 · Had a '95 4 cyl 2RZ Taco come in the other day running rough but No trouble codes. Datalist showed misfires on cylinders 1and 4..it ended up being the ECU. My Dad's 97 auto 2RZ had a low idle, was really weak and had a code for idle circuit malfunction..replaced the ECU and it runs like a champ. My buddys 97 ran rough and would stall out..
