2016年5月8日 · I'm looking for a document showing the power and torque curves or power/torque per RPM specifications of the CAT3406E (2WS) or the C15 (6NZ) engines (factory tuned). I've searched through the entire internet and simply can't find what I'm looking for.

2015年3月15日 · It all depends if your crank is bad in the 2ws. Also depends on how much is going to cost you for a 6nz. Also the labor to re&re engine. Find out if crank is ok first. If it's good rebuild the 2ws. If not and you got a line on a good 6nz giver.

2012年12月14日 · So I've been looking around for a replacement motor and can buy a 2WS that's been rebuilt 150,000 miles ago. I know there's not much difference between it and a 6NZ, but I'm curious what exactly is the difference?

The 2WS will have a thicker, flat gear cover. The 6NZ has the stamped steel cover.

A 2WS block is the closest but it has a few small differences but enough not to work. Its possible the block is OK. Most often when a 6NZ runs hot it does not hurt the block as long as a main bearing does not spin and a connecting rod does not hit the block.

2015年4月9日 · My question is the 2WS has always run circles around the 1LW. The 2WS will just get up and go if you need it to, and will pick up speed on a hill and the 1LW just seems to really have to work for everything it gets and loses speed on hills.

2024年2月21日 · 2WS ended in 2000. C-15 was a complete redesign of the 3406E block and was introduced with the 6NZ serial number. The 2WS is not the same but is a very good engine. 2WS was the first engine with the updated electronics and 70 pin ecm.

2010年1月21日 · Not sure why theres a big fuss over the 6NZ. If anything I would think the 2WS would be better since its a older serial number so maybe the nox files aren't as bad in them as the 6NZs... not positive on that but makes sense
