Here's one of my Transcendent 300B SE-OTL scratch build amps that I use with Lowther horns. They're modified to use DC filament supplies, so really quiet.

2014年5月16日 · With OTL you need a lot of negative feedback, and yes, you hear it. That's why decware advertises no feedback. Does dec mean no global feedback or none at all? Another thing to consider about the 300B is there are plenty of OK sounding 300B tubes available for reasonable money, but the really good ones are pretty expensive.

2015年11月28日 · This is different with the Coleman's and could become a bit of a hassle in the case of the 300B OTL. The idle current of each 300B is always fluctuating for some tenth of volts which is ok and normal in this configuration but needs a rock stable DC for the filaments that doesn't move so that it cannot become part of the regulation process.

2024年5月25日 · With + and - tube Pwr supplies for the tubes to keep the 300B plate stabilized at 0 volts DC for direct speaker output (by the Gyrator's internal DC V Fdbk). The SS HiZ high current output amplifier monitors final AC current output from the tubes (normally called FDBK, and supplies bipolar load currents to minimize AC current loading on the tubes.

2020年9月27日 · I also have a Transcendent 300B SE-OTL and using John Broskie's alternative output arrangement with a CCS (TL783) per 300B made a good improvement, see the attached schematic below. I'm working on another similar SE-OTL amp that will use 6C33Cs, one per channel, and a 6SN7 Broskie Aikido Cascade input/driver stage.

2007年10月18日 · W/ the 300B SET inserted between pre & F4, apparently an 8 to 25-Ohm resistor load must be paralleled across the SET ouput wires to provide a more reasonable load for the SET. Remember, tubes want a load or they can get rather unhappy.
