The msrp on 3080 always looked about $100 low to me, anyway. That number was only possible by grinding aib margins down to bare bones. The 6800xt has a similarly lowball msrp. 3080 is a perfectly reasonable product at $800. On the availability question, it really comes down to rona.

2021年1月4日 · Yeah tariffs are really stupid especially on products that aren’t even manufactured at all in a country. In South Africa all the tariffs and import cost and VAT which is included drives up the MSRP to $1000 for entry level 3080s and $1100 for OC models, directly converted.

2022年4月8日 · its a pretty good card for the price, but the 4000 series seem to run laps around it for msrp. i would pick the 3080 since it can run every game out there at max settings even with rtx, and you wont have to upgrade for a good 10+ years. i personally wouldnt risk another shortage, but from what i know, it probably wont be as bad as the apocalypse a few months ago.

For pricing the RTX 4080 Founders Edition has an MSRP of $1199 which matches the launch price of the RTX 3080 Ti which dropped in the middle of the crazy GPU pricing. With that settling down now, the $1199 price does come off as expensive especially when we compare it with the launch price of the original RTX 3080 of $699.

2022年4月30日 · The 1080ti is a stellar card and still holds up well. I was not blown away by moving to a 3080 (in october of 2020, at MSRP) - it's good, don't get me wrong, but I'd totally wait for a 4000 series unless you don't have a card now.
