The 2K USD price point is just too much for the vast majority of gamers, who would rather pick up much cheaper mid-range/high-end models instead.

What model 3090 is it? I'm curious to know because some 3090's are better than others. Some 3090's use half-ass VRM or awful power connectors and may be prone to failure. All that aside, a 3090 is still better than a 4070TI. But it's a good idea to know what you're getting yourself into in case you need to repair it.

2021年7月21日 · Definitely excited. Got a 3090 at MSRP and at some very efficient numbers. Don't mind the 119s I had just turned on my monitor. Avg 120-121 MH/s at 48 degrees. Had to add some heat sinks to the back and dropped the out of box memory junction from 100 to 94.

2022年10月21日 · Ok dlss3 is good but the card without it is +10-20% 3090 ti. And dlss3 does have artifacts if you look at the hardware unboxed review. It has 9728 cuda cores vs the 4090s has 16384 cuda cores. Thats over 6000 cuda core difference. Take this is the 4080 has less cores than the 3090 (but each core on 4080 is faster)

2023年6月20日 · Right now 3090s sell for around $750 2nd hand market (mine is a EVGA FTW3) and I reserved a 4090 FE from my local store with a coupon for $1450 (msrp is $1600). Im tempted as with time, my 3090 resale value will only decrease - and i feel like if the 4090 can hit 120hz @ 4k then i wont need to upgrade for a LONG time.

I ran into a lot of guys buying the 3090 that were engineers, an Army Officer, IT and programmers that made $140K to $250K and a $1500 video card was nothing to them or paying $2200 for a voucher. The kid that gave me $1150 for my EVGA 3090 looked rich. But it is a problem.

Going to a 3090 from a 2060 would already be an huge improvement on performance for all tasks (gaming and productivity). You can find them used for a lot cheaper than a 4090. Even second-hand, people are asking close to MSRP for them.
