Top shooters can “set and forget” the 30BR since it holds its “tune” in a wide variety of conditions. Barrel life is 6000+ rounds. The 30BR is even more efficient than the 6BR. It can drive 120gr bullets faster than other cartridges, such as the 6.5-08, which burn 30% more powder. The origin of the .30BR is somewhat murky.

Ammunition for the 30 BR is not widely available from major manufacturers, but component bullets can be found from various suppliers in various weights and shapes. Our Partners' Ammo may have different performance attributes than AMMO produced by from Lehigh Defense, even if using the same BULLET. Check each vendor's website for specifications for their ammo relating to velocity, expansion, penetration, etc.

2025年3月4日 · For neck clearance, anything from .002-.004 will give great accuracy. These 30BR's can at times get finicky when the neck clearance gets under .0015, especially at 200 yds. I use a bit more neck clearance than most (.003-.0035). For seating depth, set the seater up initially to 'jam' the bullet .020 from when the bullet 'just touches' the rifling.

2023年8月22日 · The 30BR is no push over. It is accurate and fun to shoot. For the .330 after necking up turn your brass to .098 and go shoot. Several custom bullet makers product accurate bullets from 112 gr. to 125 gr. Best powders are H-4198 VV-N130 & LT- 30. Speeds around 2950 to 3000 fps are common areas of accuracy.

2022年12月11日 · For my original 30BR chamber, thirty (30) cases were used to fire 6,400 rounds through the barrel. The cases were never annealed, yet there were ZERO case failures, neck separations, or splits. The case-necks were turned for a loaded-round neck diameter of .328″, and, from the beginning, sized with a .324″ neck-bushing.
