Contrary to normal procedure, the Gapp & Roush Boss 351 is internally balanced within the block, rather than on the outside via the flywheel and harmonic balancer (ala 454 Chevy).

2010年7月1日 · Can’t remember where I found this but…this is from a manual/book called ‘How to Build a 351c Pro Stock Pinto”. There are two Gapp & Roush Pintos here. On the left hand side second from the top is the original Glidden Pinto that he purchased from Gapp & Roush. Still in the original paint except for the removal of the name.

5 天之前 · A 1962 Ford Galaxie, the driver unable to stop or swerve in time, rear-ended the Pinto. The Pinto's gas tank was driven forward, and punctured on the bolts of the differential housing. As the rear wheel well sections separated from the floor pan, a full tank of fuel sprayed straight into the passenger compartment, which was engulfed in flames.
