We present preliminary results of optical imaging of the BL Lac object 3C 371. Subarcsecond optical imaging at the Nordic Optical Telscope (NOT) has revealed an optical jet close to the nucleus of the elliptical galaxy in which the BL Lac object resides. This jet has four separate components (R = 21.2 to 23.5).
