The python file for Blender let you import and export using one button. In Rhino, pressing right-click on this custom button will import back the Blender mesh.

But I tried installing import_3dm-master.zip as it suggests, and the rhino3dm-master.zip on which it seems to depend (downloaded zips from GitHub) and don't see a new import format on the File->Import list.

The first step can be accomplished by running the following script. Open Blender, switch to the Scripting workspace, copy and paste the script into the text editor and execute it.

I have to work with some .3DM files and when they open they are opened as a part file. I need to make assemblies using these files. what is the best way to go about this. There are 12 surface bodies and 12 surfaces that need to be individual parts of an assembly. The surfaces also seem to be duplicates of the surface bodies?? Dave B.

In the File/Open window, I see *.3DM files as an option, but I am not able to open .3DM files in SW 2014 Standard. Here is the message box I get: I have tried downloading and installing a plugin from Rhino, but after I ran the installation I got the same result. Does anyone have experience with this?
