i don't see why you'd want to. seems to me like you'd need an extremely long cord, else you'd be sitting very close to the tv, and even then you'd probably be looking at the 3ds anyway. unless there was some way to use some other controller with it but then you're completely unable to use the touch screen at all.

There are no direct HDMI modifications, nor are there any plug-and-play solutions or off-the-shelf USB adapters; everything outside of pointing a camera at your system requires either a hardware or software modification.

There is no way to get a 3DS to export video to a TV or monitor without HEAVY modification, and even then you’d be without the touch screen. There are some 3DS games on Switch such as Sushi Striker, Captain Toad, or Monster Hunter Generations, however.

This is doing way too much. I thought maybe it would be something I could just plug into a port on the 3DS and an HDMI into the TV but to destroy a part of the 3DS to just play on TV is stupid, useless, pointless and just a waste of time for $200. 🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽

2020年1月11日 · Granted, this probably only makes sense if you have super steady hands or you use a controller with your 3DS but the latter can be achieved by using homebrew. (Just search for "3ds xbox controller" on youtube for some examples.) Still might be worth a shot if all else fails. EDIT: Removed direct link to homebrew video.
