Search USGS Per Secretary's Order 3423 and 3424 the default display map on the 3DEP Viewer reflects the newly named Gulf of America and Mount McKinley. The USGS is aware of issues occurring outside of CONUS and Alaska impacting boundaries and labels of features, and is actively working towards addressing these. ×

The 3D Nation Elevation Requirements and Benefits Study was performed to document national requirements for improved topographic and bathymetric elevation data, estimate the benefits and costs of meeting these requirements, and evaluate multiple national 3D elevation program implementation scenarios for the next generation of 3DEP.

The 3D Elevation (3DEP) Working Group is a forum that is responsible for developing, executing and promoting a national strategy for acquisition, management, and distribution of elevation data consistent with the goals of the 3DEP.
