Reading Blue Mountain and Northern 2102 (historically known as Reading 2102) is a preserved T-1 class 4-8-4 "Northern" type steam locomotive.

2024年8月25日 · Reading 2102 is a 4-8-4 type steam locomotive that predominantly moved anthracite coal over the Reading system until its 1957 retirement. The engine became famous for leading the company's popular "Iron Horse Rambles" during the early 1960s, and continued occasionally pulling special fan trips during the 1970s, 1980s, and early 1990s.

In 2022, Broadway Limited is building our first production of Reading T-1 4-8-4 steam locomotives in N scale. We are building three in-service Reading models and three "Iron Horse Ramble" models.

This loco, nee-2102, has a very long and historic survival story. According to sources in the Reading, Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad (re-organized owners), this loco will be hitting the rails again in 2022 after its massive restoration during the last several years.

2022年4月6日 · PORT CLINTON, Pa. — Reading & Northern 4-8-4 No. 2102 made its first mainline run in 31 years today (April 6), as it shoved a short train south 16 miles from Port Clinton to North Reading. The move culminates a 6-year, $1.7 million rebuilding of the former Reading Co. locomotive, built in the railroad’s Reading, Pa., shop in 1945.
