2012年8月31日 · I have put kenne bell s/c's on a few customers 4.6 2v trucks and 5.4 2v and 3v...I have stroked the 4.6 motors to 5.0, 5.1 and even did a big bore 324 before too...on F150's, Expeditions, crown vics, marauders and more mustangs than I can count....LOL. You mod the 4.6 and 5.4 just as you would in a mustang or any other ford. Cheers!

2007年12月2日 · these are 2 totally different engines. the mustang gt and the crown vic have a cast iron block with 2 valves per cylinder. the motor out of the mark viii is an aluminum block with 4 valves per cylinder. the dohc has more hp, higher revs and imo a better sound, however they are a little short in the torque department. the only thing the 2 motors have in common are the amount of cubic inches ...

2006年3月16日 · The 2V heads are notorious for having poor high-RPM characteristics; I remember Road & Track saying that the upper RPM range of the original 2V 4.6 in the Mustang was "...as featureless as the top of Sinead O'Connor's head." The 3V engines have definite pull above 4,000 RPM and I can easily see them making peak power very high in the RPM range.
