Das HK417 ist ein Gasdrucklader mit kurzem Hub. Der Gasdruck wirkt auf einen kurzen Gaskolben, der den Impuls über ein Zwischenstück an den Verschlussträger weiterleitet.

2023年8月13日 · Got this about 12 years ago. Steve Mcqueen used to own the civilian one used it in motorcycle racing. This is a German Airforce issued one during the 1950's. Has the Hanhart flyback movement a cool feature. The German Air Force always had great issued watches. This was a problem child when I got it.

Built on the principles of sturdiness, reliability, and readability, Hanhart introduced the 417 as the first pilot's chronograph for the newly established German armed forces in 1954. For nearly a decade, Hanhart supplied the Bundeswehr with this model before ceasing production in 1963 and shifting its focus back to handheld stopwatches.
