2014年10月17日 · you are actually better off with a 455 olds.. as those when properly built are TORQUE MONSTERS.. and can make significant power. there is so much stuff available for the big olds motors now.. its incredible. to swap a chevy in.. everything is different from the frame brackets to the air cleaner housing.. the radiator to the exhaust..

In reality, the 454 is a better design. I am a buick guy and the 455 is very cool but the factory oiling system lets it down. It's also doesn't have 4 bolt mains. Some cool things about the 455 is it lighter than all of the other Big Blocks by quite a bit. Also has the biggest bore and shortest stroke.

Lucas synthetic and Castrol edge seem to have better shear strength and in the only side to side I have seen which was in a high compression 358 (over bored 351) running e85 was that the Lucas synthetic ran about 20 degrees cooler than the hot rod oil when ran hard.

2016年4月12日 · Chevelle SS 454 Olds/Hurst 442 "The Judge" GTO Buick Gran Sport Stage 1/Stage 2 Just to name a few... '70 was the height of muscle cars IMO. Largest displacements, and more importantly power, available from the factory. Fantastic mix of 60's classic, and 70's... unique styling. Really the best of all worlds that year.
