2022年1月11日 · The imporant part is to keep the ram paired in the dual channel slots.. 8+8 and 16+16. Ideally all ram should have the same bus speed, but if one set is lower the 2nd set will run at the lower setting (bottle necked). That said, it should work great. Also more ram will increase your internet speed. Many don't know that.

2020年8月9日 · For anyone who doesn't believe me I say this, go get some 2gb ram sticks and 4gb ram sticks, 2 of each for the experiment. On channel A run 4+4 sticks and on channel B run 2+2 sticks. Next open up Adobe Audition or any other ram intensive application and start a new project. Use a bunch of plug-ins and monitor your ram use.

2016年10月25日 · 16GB alone should be plenty enough to get you through several years of college. I'd be more worried about bloatware building up on your machine than the amount of RAM you have. It's not like programs are suddenly going to start using four times more RAM than they do now. The most overkill I would go is 32GB. I also do not recommend mixing memory.

2023年6月22日 · As long as you can enable xmp, there is no downside to use 48gb. Sometimes xmp will not work with 4 sticks in which case just install 32gb. Unless you are using more than 32gb of ram, you will not see a performance increase but at the same time some programs will use more ram if they see that you have it.

2021年1月19日 · The 8 gb set will run dual channel and the 16 gb set will run dual channel so effectively the cpu will be alternating between using the 16 gb and the 32 back and forth back and forth. I dont know what these people are talking about that its not how ram works. 48gb of same speed and timing ram is fine even if they are different capacity.

2023年10月14日 · Honestly you might be better just hocking it on Marketplace or CL or something. Lots of people out there looking for ddr4 ram, especially 16gb of it. If you were local, I’d consider picking it up off you. Had to borrow my ram from a spare Coffee Lake I have to complete a NAS build that didn’t have an ECC cpu.
