The Austrian 4K 4FA APC was built by Steyr with sloped armor, low profile and all-steel welded construction in the 1960s. It was replaced by the 7FA.

2018年5月21日 · Developed to serve the same battlefield function as the classic American M113 Armored Personnel Carrier (APC), the Saurer 4K 4FA was adopted by the Army of Austria during the Cold War. The vehicle was designed and developed by the local concern of Saurer-Werke and was the further evolution of the design begun in the mid-1950s.

This is the basic APC with an Oerlikon Contraves 81 mm rocket launcher mounted on a turntable over the rear troop compartment. It is understood that these vehicles have now been phased out of service.
