Comparison of 5.56mm vs 5.45mm - which is better?
2013年10月15日 · The ballistics are almost the same as 5.56. It has slightly less recoil then 5.56 which isn't noticeable. But I'd rather trust my life with 5.45 vs 5.56. 5.56 is more velocity dependent then 5.45. It's probably not as huge of a deal as people make it out to be but supposedly the 5.45 yaws more and causes more damage then 5.56.

2008年12月18日 · Despite complaints that the 5.56 round lacks stopping power, others contend that animal studies of the wounding effects of the 5.56×45mm round versus the 7.62×39mm have found that the 5.56 mm round is more damaging, due to the post-impact behavior of the 5.56 mm projectile resulting in greater cavitation of soft tissues.[20]

2010年10月26日 · Wish the Box-O'-Truth would have put various 5.45, and various 5.56 head to head on the exact same test, but oh well. Neither 5.56 or 5.45 penetrated all that much in comparison to 7.62x39, or 51, I think we all know that. I think 53gr 7n6 is better than 55gr m193, but comparable in function.

2007年11月20日 · One major issue not mentioned is the effective range of the two rounds within 150 yards the 7.62x39 is probably better past that distance the 5.56 has a longer flatter trajectory and the accuracy of the 5.56 is generally better.
