50 amp breaker #8 awg cu - InterNACHI®️ Forum
2008年1月19日 · On inspection, a 50 amp breaker was noted to have 8 awg copper wire. This was to an outdoor jacuzzi. We know that 40 amps is the max for 8 awg AND we know there are always exceptions to these rules. 60 amp breakers are required to have 6 awg so this seems to be on the fence with the judgement call going to the electrician.

50 amp breaker...what size wire? - InterNACHI®️ Forum
2009年6月6日 · Joe, there are many factors involved, for instance #8 CU THHN is good for 50 amps but 8/3 Romex is not, you would need 6/3 if Romex. Also, there are applications where #12 would be acceptable on a 50 amp circuit, for example a tap on a cooking appliance circuit (210.19(A)exception No 1), or a motor circuit where overload protection is provided ...
50 amp breaker at main feeding a 100 amp sub panel
2022年3月31日 · The only issue you may have is if the 50 amp is not sufficient amperage for the subpanel needs. Other than that, it is a non issue, because the subpanel is protected by a 50 amp breaker, not a 100 amp. The 100 is merely a disconnect at that point.

How hot is too hot for a breaker? - InterNACHI®️ Forum
2014年3月12日 · If any circuit breaker is running abnormally hotter than any other circuit breaker in the set then note it down on your report. What is abnormal ( again my opinion only) if you have a 40-60 degree difference (not including AFCI or GFCI Devices) you need to take a reading from the terminal point…not just the plastic circuit breaker so this ...

2022年4月11日 · Today I had a System Panel with Surge Protector attached to the System Panel. Both the Panel and the Surge Protector were Eaton devices, but the Surge Protector was connected to a 50 Amp Breaker with a 12 Gauge Braided Alum wire.
