Shortly after our return from Russia to Sweden in 1997 I decided to try to make up a PSE amplifier using the GU50s I had brought with me. The data was similar to EL34, but the valves looked smarter, especially with the socket and its "collar".

2013年12月23日 · My reference is my 1969 small box Marshall 50 watt head and it compares favorably tone wise, in a package I can easily tote to gigs. However, it is a very sensitive amp and will respond deftly to nuances of left hand technique and pick attack, so no hiding sloppy playing.

2013年1月14日 · if you look at curves you will see why I make reference to the GU-50 operating the best at high voltages. Pay attention at curves bent on the left side, i.e. at higher currents/lower voltages. It is obvious. Negative feedback linearizes any tube no matter works it in SE or PP amp.
