The BMW 507 is a grand touring convertible that was produced by German automobile manufacturer BMW from 1956 until 1959. Initially intended to be exported to the United States at a rate of thousands per year, it ended up being too expensive, resulting in a total production figure of 252 cars and heavy financial losses for BMW.

2024年10月1日 · Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW) hasn’t made aircraft engines since 1945, but that doesn’t mean the firm’s products don’t fly anymore. The company was banned after World War II from making the motor vehicles and aircraft components they were known for.

BMW introduced their 507 roadster in 1956. Intended to be based on the BMW 501 platform, the 507 was created largely by the urging of BMW's American importer. Unfortunately, due to high development costs, high price and lack of interest, the 507 was an expensive, poor selling car.
