2011年8月5日 · The difference between a 55g and 65g shaft to most golfers is minimal and hardly shows up. This is because of 2 reasons. For one, the obvious one, 10 grams is just not very much weight and many golfers just cannot feel that reduction in weight over the whole length of the club. Drop 10g from the head and sure, they feel that.

2023年11月21日 · I looked for a goldilocks for months, going through many flexes etc., but ended up in a smoke black rdx 60 stiff, cut just below 44". The cut weight is thus probably close to 55 or so. I just found that the combination of torque, weight, balance, and flex were off in all of the sub-55g offerings. Edited November 21, 2023 by Spinozist

2007年6月25日 · It could be a good idea to have a 55g shaft if your bordering on a stiff flex shaft. Put it in in stiff and it will play slightly softer then that flex - so it all depends on your swing speed. If your around the high 90's then maybe the lighter stiff flex shaft would be better for you.

2023年2月23日 · Shaft was Alta CB 55g Regular. I ended up getting fit into Tensei Orange AV 55g (65g also worked) and the fitter told me its "more stable". I could feel better contact and better impact, but just curious if anyone has any information or background on the differences between these two shafts.

2025年2月6日 · The Alta CB Black 55g(G430) was designed with a slightly stiffer mid section which helped with spin and launch. The blue should feel a bit softer because of its weight. Go test it and see if the Blue works like the prior shafts.

2022年5月31日 · The Alta 55 is only 55g in the SR flex and gets heavier as the flex increases (X is 64g). The Alta is more counterbalanced so it will feel lighter at the same weight than the Tour 65 and most other shafts of the same weight.

2025年2月18日 · He put the 55g regular flex shaft into a JPX 925 Hot Metal Pro head and handed it to me. My 6 iron swing speed, which had been around 85-86 when we were hitting some other clubs with my normal shaft, jumped into the low 90s, and carry distance was absurd.
