The 55th Electronic Combat Group, located at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, provides combat-ready aircraft, crews, maintenance, and operational support to combatant commanders. The group is a Geographically Separated Unit which falls under the command of the 55th Wing at Offutt Air Force Base .

The 55th Medical Group supports the 55th Wing, USSTRATCOM, 557th Weather Wing and Team Offutt, providing medical and dental services for more than 27,000 enrolled patients with extensive outpatient clinic capabilities and ancillary support. Additionally, the 55 MDG supports more than 45,000 TRICARE beneficiaries in the greater Omaha area.

The 55th Electronic Combat Group (55 ECG) provides combat-ready EC-130H COMPASS CALL aircraft, crews, maintenance and operational support to combatant commanders. The group also plans and executes information operations, including information warfare and electronic attack, in support of theater campaign plans.

The EC-130H is operated by the 55th Electronic Combat Group (ECG) consisting of two operational squadrons (41st and 43rd Electronic Combat Squadron (ECS)), a formal training unit (the 42nd ECS), the 755th Operations Support Squadron (OSS), and the 755th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (AMXS).

As the only Electronic Combat Group in the Air Force, the 55 ECG is solely responsible for training, maintaining and employing electronic attack in support of Combatant Commanders. 2024年8月27日 · Aircraft 19-5591, now assigned to the 55th Electronic Combat Group, will be flown by the 43rd Electronic Combat Squadron and maintained by the Contractor Logistics Support Aircraft Maintenance team at Davis-Monthan AFB.
