The Mack B series is a model line of trucks produced by Mack Trucks between 1953 and 1966. [1] The successor to the 1940-1956 Mack L series, [2] the B-series was a line of heavy conventional-cab trucks.

"B-85", compartment under driver's door, chrome radiator shell, starter button, switches for emergency lights, and red interior, leads me to believe that this was once a fire truck. However, it has a long wheelbase and I have never seen a Mack fire truck with two sticks. Am I close? bulldogboy.

Description This B-model is an original Harrisburg ladder truck. After recently bringing the truck back home. I got the one and only Dale Snyder of Allentown to Gold Leaf the HFD 12 and the name Allison back on the hood. Dale worked for Mack from 1966 to 1984 gold leafing all fire trucks that came out of Allentown.

The heavy-duty series Mack B80 featured with a metal hood and angular front fenders. They were developed specially for construction and off-highway jobs. The B80 got a reinforced 20-speed transmission and replaced the LJ and LM series. The model lineup included: B80 (1956-1965, 368 pcs, EN707B/C gasoline engine, 206-232 hp).
