That's why the next gen cards are going to have ray tracing just baked in, because they are just very capable. The RX 5700 xt is a great card still but it is unlikely to get ray tracing support.

I have learned that in order to play games without crashing (almost, happens once every 30-50 hours of playing by now) Make sure your motherboard is using the latest firmware. Do NOT use any of the settings using amd software (I.e. Chill or any other) only use standard profile.

2024年12月14日 · I can confirm that the drivers are still causing a lot of issues for RX 5700 XT. I have been testing every driver since 20.8.3 and often the newer drivers will not work without issues. Rare green screen crashes still happen in CPU bound or older games, because of memory clock fluctuations.

2020年8月7日 · I'd been waiting for Octane render to use the two RX580s in my Mac Pro, plus a 5700 XT. Octane doesn't support the 5xx series because it's not in Apple's drivers, so we were forced to buy this rubbish, low-end GPU and Apple can't even be bothered to support it. I can already see a handful on eBay and – understandably – no-one's buying.
