2018年4月10日 · 5E4E is complaining about right front. You say you've changed the wheel bearing. Right front? That means the car is RWD and not AWD - just checking. The tone ring and sensor alone will generate a signal. You can use an oscilloscope to check that out without all the modules. Scope the end of the leads and turn the wheel and what do you get?

2022年3月8日 · I've recently changed out the speed sensors on my (first and new to me BMW) 08 328xi and also done a ton of other new parts/maintenance. I have a OBD2 reader and bimmerlink and bimmercode. After doing a test drive these codes were thrown 5E4E right signal edge is missing and 5E24 left signal edge is missing.

2018年4月15日 · Low brake fluid and wheel speed sensors are also known to cause this issue. Post the full exact error codes. No point throwing parts at it. Could be anything from a WSS to a bad abs pump pressure sensor and a myriad of things in between. INPA/ISTA is best but even the PA soft SW can post the faults.

2023年9月9日 · I spoke to a bmw tech that was kind enough to share some feedback without the diagnosis fee, he said based on my troubleshooting itsounds like the bearings. That was the 1st I heard of that root cause and now you're the 2nd. Should I replace both sides even though it's only front left on the error? How much should labor be cost & time?

2020年7月9日 · Using INPA i find fault code 5E4E DSC sensor offset check. When using INPA and checking live funktion for checking DSC sensors, i can see steering angle_wheel F_CAN AFS read " !- 1140.2 " Also there is no movement on graph for STEERING ANGLE DSC_ECU.

2023年7月4日 · I added a spacer but still, same problem. My reluctor looks fine from what I can see (obviously a little rusty) and doesn’t move around. No lights when starting the car but after 20 seconds of driving all lights come back on. Read the code and this time it doesn’t say airgap but gives me: 5E4E DSC Wheel-speed sensor, supply, front right

2024年5月3日 · The diagnostic report shows multiple DSC related fault codes, however it also picks 5E4E which is related to the OSF wheel speed sensor. As stated above, I've replaced it (just yesterday) and cleared the codes, but the error didn't disappear and came back.
