There is a negligible benefit from more than 6 cores. 5600x is your best bet, or perhaps a 10600k if you aren't looking to spend quite that much.

2014年5月14日 · The so called 6 cores are really three cores the so called 8 cores are really 4 cores with hyperthreading. You bought into AMD's sales gimmick, congratulations. To answer your question there is nothing wrong with your CPU it is showing it for what it is a three physical cores with three logical cores.

Then, the 3800X beats the 5600X by 11% because it has 33% more cores (8 vs 6). but has a 10-20% reduced IPC (because of Zen 3 vs Zen 2). Again, if you can afford the 5950X, get it, no question. For the average home user, a 6 core CPU is good for those who likes to encode their movies to be stored on the hard drive. If using the same architecture (e.g. Intel core i7 4 core or 6 core CPU): Most games will not use more than 4 cores, so for these the 4 core will usually be better if it is the same architecture and has a higher clock rate.
