The 6C4 triode valve was specified as both an amplifier and an RF power valve. In the latter role it would deliver 5.5 Watts in class C operation. With a very small envelope volume, this would make it ideal for hand portable equipment. In larger apparatus it could deliver enough drive power for much larger PA's.

2018年1月19日 · I'm about to start restoring a Pilotone aa-903 mono integrated amp that uses a 6c4 tube between the preamp and the power amp. It's an integrated, so it uses one 12ax7 for the phono stage, one 12ax7 for the line stage, then it's the 6c4 in between the preamp tubes and the 12au7 driver tube that feeds the 6v6 output tubes.

2009年1月31日 · The 6C4 is used to mix Channel 1 and Channel 2. The 6C4 is a bit of an unusual tube. The common tubes we normally see like 12AX7, 12AT7, and 12AU7 each have two matching triodes. The 6C4 only has one triode, and it is very similar to the sections in a 12AU7.

Miniature tube used in smaller receivers as a local oscillator in FM and other high- frequency circuits. It may also be used as a class C rf amplifier. In class C service it delivers a power output of 5.5 watts at HF, and 2.5 watts at 150 MHz (VHF). Might be used as a QRP power osc.
