MOT Type 1 Used as the load-bearing sub-base for pavements and is ideal for other sub-base applications, including shed bases, ponds, driveways and much more.

It is a limestone from 40mm down to dust and is used as a bulk fill and levelling material. Commonly, this is used as a base course to provide a foundation for further layers above, i.e., when laying a drive, path or patio. MOT Type 1 is permeable, so this helps with drainage through the finished system.
