2024年5月31日 · I've built a few things on turret board and one hi-fi amp on terminal strips (lots of room), but want to build this little 6F6 amp that D-lab/Blackcat describe on their YouTube channel. It will be in a 9.5" x 5" x 2" hammond chassis to fit the old empty radio cabinet I scavenged.

2024年10月30日 · To run in Class AB2 the PP 6V6 loadline has been adjusted to 6.8K running thru a Hammond 125E Universal OPT. The 6V6s are driven by CFs in a 4BQ7. It avoids H-K problems by running on its own 5V supply. The B+ is 338V. The idea for the internal NFB originated with Bill Perkins of PEARL. On a business trip to Calgary I made a point of visiting Bill.

2024年5月7日 · The most famous 6F6 PP amp I know is the Western Electric 133A that uses input transformer to split phase and completely push-pull through out. 349A tube is their version of 6F6G. It does sound good and I prefer it over the more ubiquitous WE 124.

2019年4月22日 · I've never heard a 6F6 tube in an amp, but am about to acquire a SE amp which was designed to accept many types of 6V outputs. And the 6F6 family is highly recommended by the manufacturer. Shopping around, it looks like there were at least 4 main variants: 6F6, 6F6G, 6F6GT, and 6F6MG (metal).
