A 6N1P will only give ~30x gain in most applications, even with a bypassed cathode. in a differential pair the max theoretical gain is cut in half. half of a 6sl7 feeding into a 6n1p differential pair would be useful here.

2012年7月3日 · I also like the sound of the 6n1p or the 6n1p-EV. I use it in every possible projects, two stage SE or as input tube to PP amps. By the way i finished a recent PP 6550 amp and have the 6n1p_EV as input and 6n6p as LTP current sourced driver to 6550.
