2010年3月23日 · I don't think any nation's issued 7.62x25 was intended for SMGs only. Unfortunately it does seem some Czech and possibly other countries' proof ammo in the caliber has occasionally found its way to the open market, and the headstamps do not indicate this. I think this is how the idea of "SMG-only" 7.62x25 has spread, and understandably so.

2008年4月11日 · In 7.62x39 you can preforate mild steel rail plate using saboted M855/SS109 much easier than with lead core commercial wolf-type 7.62x39.The extra velocity from the 7.62x25 does no more dammage than a steel cored 7.62x25 round does in all my test cases.

2008年5月15日 · The PPS-43's damage was fixable--we whacked the recoil plate in the receiver back into shape, as it had been bent by the bolt slamming HARD against it. Going from the Czech stuff to some old Norinco Chinese 7.62x25 was a relief in that the rates of fire are where they're supposed to be, and the guns don't beat you up nearly as bad.

2011年12月27日 · The 7.62x25 you have probably penetrated because 1.) it's way faster than 9mm or .45 and 2.) you probably didn't have a top quality vest. Not because of a steel core, which was probably soft and of poor quality. Another example of steel core not equating armor penetration - the M855.

2011年4月26日 · It appears that surplus 7.62x25 is going the way of other orphan calibres. Soon people will have C&R guns like Tokarevs and CZ-52s but no more "cheap" ammo to shoot. The popularity of these guns in the last few years has also led to the surplus ammo rapidly disappearing from vendors store rooms.
