Only dash lighting and console shift indicator plate illumination lamps are pulling current thru the rheostat. This also includes dash "accessories". 1970 - 1972 radios have their dial lights tied into the dash lighting circuit as well.

2023年12月15日 · Hi, just in the process in getting my 70 SS dash restored. I was recommended Vacuum Orna-Metal Restoration | Vacuum Orna-Metal in Detroit by Chris White. They use the vacuum metalizing process in the restoration process and the finished product is mint! It's not cheap depending on other repairs on the dash its $1000 with a 2 month turn around.
