The Double Check Valve Device Assembly - Envicomply
2019年7月2日 · The double check valve device assembly (DCVA) is a backflow prevention device used for backflow prevention of low hazard non-potable water into a potable water system or to separate two potable water system. It consists of two independently acting spring load closed check valves and four test cocks.
The DCVA is effective against backflow caused by backpressure and backsiphonage and is used to protect the water system from pollutants that would not constitute an actual health hazard, but that might be objectionable to the water supply system. The DCVA is used to isolate non-health hazards (see Figure 2-15).
1. The DCVA must be on the State-approved list and must be installed in compliance with the District’s Premise Isolation Cross Connection Control Policy (please see drawing for reference). 2. The state of Washington has adopted the University of Southern California’s (USC) 10th edition Approved Backflow Device list as its approved list.
