To find a child unfit under WIC §707 (c) [see §3.13], you must find that his or her offense was a serious felony listed under WIC §707 (b). [WIC §707 (c); CRC 5.772 (f) (2) (A).] A misdemeanor cannot be a WIC §707 (b) offense. [See In re Sim J. (1995) 38 CA4th 94, 97–99.]
