2006年5月28日 · G.711u is used within US Select G.711u *only* if you are making lots of international calls to US Why? Within Australia the telco interconnects are mostly ISDN - and G.711a PCM is used for all interconnect encoding. Use of G.711u will result in a *small* amount of call quality degradation due to transcoding. Hope this is useful. dB

2022年8月31日 · I remember 711a was rather rough like you're describing and we went via 711u to 723. 711u is for American networks due to their coding. It sound coarse when connected to a g.711a Australian and rest of world system. G711a is a 64bit codec so pstn phone quality.
